दंडो दमयताम् अस्मि नीतिरस्मि जिगीषताम् ।
मौनम् चैवास्मि गुह्यानाम् ज्ञानम् ज्ञानवताम् अहम् ॥ ३८ ॥
daMDo damayatAm asmi nItirasmi jigISatAm |
maunam caivAsmi guhyAnAm jJAnam jJAnavatAm aham || 38 ||

To the people who punish, द०न्डः अहम्

I am punishment. जिगीषताम्

To those who desire to conquer, नीतिः अस्मि
[nItiH asmi]
I am policy and prudence. गुह्यानाम्
[guhyAnAm]
Among things that are inscrutable, मौनम् अस्मि
[maunam asmi]
I am silence. अहम् ज्ञानम्
[aham jJAnam]
I am knowledge ज्ञानवताम्
[jJAnavatAm]
