रुद्रादित्या वसवो ये च साध्याः
विश्वेऽश्विनौ मरुतश्च ऊष्मपाश्च ।
गन्धर्व यक्ष असुर सिद्ध सङ्घाः
वीक्षन्ते त्वाम् विस्मताः चैव सर्वे ॥ २२ ॥

vizve'zvinau marutazca USmapAzca |
gandharva yakSa asura siddha saGghAH
vIkSante tvAm vismatAH caiva sarve || 22 ||

our ancestors, गन्धर्व यक्ष असुर सिद्ध
[gandharva yakSa asura siddha]
beautiful people, benign beings, thugs, achievers - सङ्गाः सर्वे
[saGgAH sarve]
all these communities वीक्षन्ते त्वाम्
[vIkSante tvAm]
look at You, विस्मताः चैव
[vismatAH caiva]
bewildered.
Everyone looked at You in bewilderment.
Though it’s not the dictionary meaning, the word
ऊष्मप
[USmapa]
in this Shloka is used to mean ‘ancestor’, in accordance with a scripture that says- ऊष्म
[USma]
is meant for the ancestors.
