For Eternal Beginners
लेलिह्यसे ग्रासमानः समन्तात्
लोकान् समग्रान् वदनैः ज्वलद्भिः ।
तेजोभिः आपूर्य जगत् समग्रम्
भासः तवोग्राः प्रतपन्ति विष्णो ॥ ३० ॥
lelihyase grAsamAnaH samantAt
lokAn samagrAn vadanaiH jvaladbhiH |
tejobhiH ApUrya jagat samagram
bhAsaH tavogrAH pratapanti viSNo || 30 ||
विष्णो [viSNo] Vishnu, लेलिह्यसे [lelihyase] You are licking Your lips, ग्रासमानः [grAsamAnaH] swallowing लोकान् समग्रान् [lokAn samagrAn] all these people समन्तात् [samantAt] entirely ज्वलद्भिः वदनैः [jvaladbhiH vadanaiH] with your flaming mouth. तव उग्राः भासाः [tava ugrAH bhAsAH] Your terrific brilliance आपूर्य [ApUrya] fills जगत् समग्रम् [jagat samagram] the whole universe तेजोभिः [tejobhiH] with various energies प्रतपन्ति [pratapanti] and they burn.
With great rage, You swallow all the groups of kings in your brilliant mouth. You lick your lips that are drenched in their blood, again and again. Your terrible brilliance overwhelms the entire universe, heating it up and burning it out.
