For Eternal Beginners
अदृष्टपूर्वम् हृषितोऽस्मि दृष्ट्वा
भयेन च प्रव्यथितम् मनो मे ।
तदेव मे दर्शय देव रूपम्
प्रसीद देवेश जगन्निवास ॥ ४५ ॥
adRSTapUrvam hRSito'smi dRSTvA
bhayena ca pravyathitam mano me |
tadeva me darzaya deva rUpam
prasIda deveza jagannivAsa || 45 ||
दृष्ट्वा [dRSTvA] Seeing अदृष्टपूर्वम् [adRSTapUrvam] what has not been seen before, हृषितः अस्मि [hRSitaH asmi] I am thrilled. च [ca] Also, मे मनः [me manaH] My mind प्रव्यथितम् [pravyathitam] is greatly disturbed भयेन [bhayena] with fear. जगन्निवास [jagannivAsa] You are the abode of the whole universe. देव [deva] Lord, प्रसीद [prasIda] return to tranquility मे दर्शय [me darzaya] and show me तत् एव [tat eva] that रूप [rUpa] form.
Arjuna continues - I am glad and thrilled to see Your astounding and terrifying form, which has never been seen before. Also, my mind is terrified with fear. Hence, show me that form of Yours, which is supremely pleasant. Be favorable towards Me, O controller of all gods , be pleased.
