For Eternal Beginners
सर्वद्वारेषु देहेऽस्मिन् प्रकाश उपजायते ।
ज्ञानम् यदा तदा विद्यात् विवृद्धम् सत्त्वमित्युत ॥ ११ ॥
sarvadvAreSu dehe'smin prakAza upajAyate |
jJAnam yadA tadA vidyAt vivRddham sattvamityuta || 11 ||

all the sense organs and the mind देहेऽस्मिन्
[dehe'smin]
in this body प्रकाश
[prakAza]
illuminate the true nature of things ज्ञानम्
[jJAnam]
and awareness उपजायते
[upajAyate]
arises, तदा
[tadA]
then, विद्यात्
[vidyAt]
recognize सत्त्वम् विवृद्धम् इत्युत
[sattvam vivRddham ityuta]
that the quality of
sattva
is predominant.
Sense organs such as the eyes are the doors to knowledge. When these sense organs illuminate everything to show their true characteristics, awareness arises. Then, the quality of sattva is recognized as being predominant in the body.
