For Eternal Beginners
एवम् बुद्धेः परम् बुद्ध्वा सम्स्तभ्यात्मानम् आत्मना ।
जहि शत्रुम् महाबाहो कामरूपम् दुरासदम् ॥ ४३ ॥
evam buddheH param buddhvA samstabhyAtmAnam AtmanA |
jahi zatrum mahAbAho kAmarUpam durAsadam || 43 ||

in this way, बुद्ध्वा
[buddhvA]
knowing बुद्धेः परम्
[buddheH param]
this to be even more powerful than the intellect, सम्स्तभ्य
[samstabhya]
having supported आत्मानम्
[AtmAnam]
your mind आत्मना
[AtmanA]
with intellect born out of your Self, जहि
[jahi]
abandon कामरूपम् शत्रुम्
[kAmarUpam zatrum]
this enemy called desire दुरासदम्
[durAsadam]
which is, indeed, very difficult to destroy.
To look beyond desire, work without being driven by outcomes.
In this way, know that the enemy called ‘desire’ is a greater obstacle than the intellect in your quest of knowledge. With your intellect, let your mind persevere to work without desire for outcomes . In this way, forsake the tough enemy called desire and destroy its ill-effects on you.
