7-8 to 7-11

रसोऽहम् अप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभाऽस्मि शशि सूर्ययोः ।
प्रणवः सर्व वेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषम् नृषु ॥ ८ ॥
पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्याम् च तेजश्च अस्मि विभावसौ ।
जीवनम् सर्व भूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु ॥ ९ ॥
बीजम् माम् सर्व भूतानाम् विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम् ।
बुद्धि बुद्धिमताम् अस्मि तेजः तेजस्विनाम् अहम् ॥ १० ॥
बलम् बलवताम् चाहम् काम राग विवर्जितम् ।
धर्म अविरुद्धो भूतेषु कामोस्मि भरतर्षभ ॥ ११ ॥

raso'ham apsu kaunteya prabhA'smi zazi sUryayoH |
praNavaH sarva vedeSu zabdaH khe pauruSam nRSu || 8 ||
puNyo gandhaH pRthivyAm ca tejazca asmi vibhAvasau |
jIvanam sarva bhUteSu tapazcAsmi tapasviSu || 9 ||
bIjam mAm sarva bhUtAnAm viddhi pArtha sanAtanam |
buddhi buddhimatAm asmi tejaH tejasvinAm aham || 10 ||
balam balavatAm cAham kAma rAga vivarjitam |
dharma aviruddho bhUteSu kAmosmi bharatarSabha || 11 ||

कौन्तेय [kaunteya] Arjuna, अहम् अस्मि [aham asmi] I am रसः [rasaH] the taste अप्सु [apsu] in all liquids, प्रभा [prabhA] the radiance शशि सूर्ययोः [zazi sUryayoH] in the moon and the sun, प्रणवः [praNavaH] I am the sacred syllable (Om) सर्व वेदेषु [sarva vedeSu] in all the Vedas, शब्दः [zabdaH] the waves खे [khe] in space, पौरुषम् [pauruSam] capability नृषु [nRSu] in humans. अहम् अस्मि [aham asmi] I am पुन्यो गन्धम् [punyo gandham] the pleasant fragrance पृथिव्याम् [pRthivyAm] of this Earth च [ca] and तेजः [tejaH] the energy विभावसौ [vibhAvasau] in a fire. अस्मि [asmi] I am जीवनम् [jIvanam] the life सर्व भूतेषु [sarva bhUteSu] in all living beings च [ca] and तपः [tapaH] thoughts तपस्विषु [tapasviSu] in the people who focus their intellect. पार्थ [pArtha] Arjuna, माम् विद्धि [mAm viddhi] know Me बीजम् [bIjam] as the primary cause सर्वभूतानाम् [sarvabhUtAnAm] of all beings, सनातनम् [sanAtanam] existing since beginning-less time. अहम् अस्मि [aham asmi] I am बुद्धि [buddhi] the intellect बुद्धिमताम् [buddhimatAm] of intelligent beings, तेजः [tejaH] the brilliance तेजस्विनाम् [tejasvinAm] in brilliant people. भरतर्ष्भ [bharatarSbha] Arjuna, अहम् अस्मि [aham asmi] I am बलम् [balam] the power बलवताम् [balavatAm] in powerful people, काम राग विवर्जितम् [kAma rAga vivarjitam] separate from desire and indulgence च [ca] and I am कामः [kAmaH] love धर्म अविरुद्धो [dharma aviruddho] that does not oppose My principles भूतेषु [bhUteSu] in the beings of this world.

All these thoughts and feelings, having different characteristics, originate from Me. They are a part of My body and exist in Me in My service. In this way, I am the one who is present in all types of things.
