योगी [yogI] A person who practices yoga अधिकः [adhikaH] is higher तपस्विभ्यः [tapasvibhyaH] than people who perform penance. मतः [mataH] He is considered to be अधिकः [adhikaH] higher ज्ञानिभ्यः अपि [jJAnibhyaH api] than learned people as well. योगी [yogI] The person who practices yoga च अधिकः [ca adhikaH] is also higher कर्मिभ्यः [karmibhyaH] than people who work hard to get results. तस्मात् [tasmAt] Hence, अर्जुन [arjuna] Arjuna, योगी भव [yogI bhava] practice yoga .

There are goals that are achieved merely through contemplation, goals that merely require you to know a little about the Self and those that only require work. The goal to realize the Self and the Lord is higher than all of them. Hence, a person who practices yoga – who is on the path to realize the Self – is the best among people who achieve goals through penance, learning and doing things. Hence, practice yoga .

In this way, the realization of the Self was described in the words of the Creator Himself. This realization is an accessory to attaining the Lord. Now, the science of attaining the Lord is introduced.
